The story is good and I love the artwork, but, I am so lost. Can someone summarize what just happened?
In the recent chapters prior to this Mu Xiaoen was having a meltdown because her sibling had run away to her town after having a spat with their bio parents and her bio parents had the audacity to try to use her as a leverage to control her sib. The same parents that rejected Mu Xiaoen for being a girl way back and had tried for a second, better boy child. We see that when she was younger she snuck away to the city and saw her bio parent and sibling and was traumatized by the experience.
In petty child thinking her sibling had gotten everything she wanted. There's a lot of layers to that including the part where her sibling was born their parents' preferred gender but now when older is choosing to live a certain way and run from them to her Peach Town. Bringing those bad memories to the place Mu Xiaoen felt safest. Burrowing into her place and her people. Her sibling isn't bad, but it doesn't stop the bad feelings happening. And their bio parents are still using their connection to manipulate her feelings. Reread chapter 61.
So in current times everyone who cares about her have been sharing notes on her in order to get the full picture for those who only know parts of her. We find out she she is probably both tougher and softer than she appears. She's pulled the town out of ruin with the orchard, talks a big talk that she can back up, but she's also carrying a lot of wounds and occasionally can be quite childish because of it. Saving Peach Town is connected with saving herself, but having her sibling there is forcing her to think about stuff she is scared to think about. And making Peach Town what it is was worth it and helped attract her GF to be there, but from the start that was a temp thing that she can't do anything to fix either.
I feel like rereading from ch 55 would be enough to get caught up again.
