At this rate, I wouldn’t be surprised if the manga catches up to the LN within two years. I really wonder what they’ll do once that happens. For context, the novel has been on hiatus for months now…
The next manga chapter will adapt ch 68 of the novel, which means there are only about 3–4 manga chapters left to cover Vol3 of the novel.

He actually changed a whole lot, which in return accelerated some Events which shouldnt have taken place until later or changed them entirely. (As an example the Ambush in the Forest, which happened 1 Year prior to the Original Story.)

Seems like he just cant escape certain things, regardless of what he is trying to do.

Well, while trying to keep himself alive, he's also trying to herd events so that the Hero party can get stronger, unnoticed by Justus, and get to the final boss when they can still deal with him. If he makes too many waves, Justus will notice something and change all his plans.
