Huh, so the author decided to go with the classic time skip in the final chapter. Overall, the story had a great beginning, but it definitely lost some steam in the middle-to-late sections, making them feel pretty underwhelming. As for the ending, it wasn’t great, it wasn’t terrible— it just feels very abrupt.

I am definitely sad this ended as it is one of my favorite manga and I very much enjoyed it throughout, even with all of the stupid drama that shouldn't have been.

The ending definitely felt abrupt with so many plot threads left dangling, but at least we got a conclusion to Marin and Wakana and their budding romance. We all knew they were going to end up together and married and seeing them like this after being married for potentially years was great. It was just sweet.

The panel with the picture of gramps totally got me and I am glad he was still there...and their wedding photos were super nice. I feel like I had seen a colored drawing of Marin in the traditional wedding dress that we saw here a number of months ago at least (could be longer as I have no real perception of time).

Why the series ended is all speculation at this point unless the author says something, but at least we are getting an epilogue and another chapter (maybe a side story) so at least we get a little more. And the author can always go back and revisit the series later if they so decide. The time skip gives us stories that happen in between chapters...especially because it looks like Marin may still cosplay occasionally with those first few panels of the small studio. Even if she does it just for him and posting online there could still be more stories to see. Plus their romance and leading up to them being married.

Author may never go back to the story and that's fine, but at least the door remains open if they decide to do so in the future.

Oh and thanks translators for working on this series all this time! I always looked forward to the new chapter and your work was awesome! Thanks again!

Gods my heart sank for a moment when I saw the panel with Gramps lone photo and thought he had passed away- Good thing it wasn't that 😩

Pretty standard timeskip but I still liked it. The attic being converted to a mini cosplay studio, the photos of Gramps, the entire family in that marriage photo, and everything. Sure this manga had some low points but overall, it was pretty good to read. Bunch of teenagers finding love in what they do and growing it even more, meeting all types of people, and experiencing growing points.

I had expected a scene where Marin offers to be a living Hina doll for some sort of event and Wakana being able to combine all he has learned and love into one, but guess that's for fanfics~

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't just a little underwhelmed. Definitely preferable to dragging on endlessly though.

It is a bit lackluster, I'll admit. But at the very least will get an epilogue to tie up those loose ends.

And yeah, better for it to end than keep going on and on in a vain attempt to keep things interesting. Which is a hell of a lot more than I can say about a certain revenge manga whose name I'll refrain from dropping.

Why did it have to end so quickly, there should have been more pay-off after they officially started dating. Oh well, in this day and age with endings like Oshi no Ko, I'll take a small, fluffy wrap-up like this
