The mints used in toothpaste and the mints used in food are different kinds of mint, I don't get how people think they taste the same.

Oh sorry for the late reply, I don't like mint, and chocolate is a close second if it's too rich, it's actually why I prefer dark chocolate because it has bitter undertones.

And having had choco-mint before it just combines both things mint and rich chocolate

Probably was talking about the sweetness and got mixed up on the terms, I'd guess. But then again, dark chocolate is objectively the better pair with mint in the place of milk chocolate and that's a fact.

It depends on the brand, same with mint-flavored candies, some local and traditional made ones tasted really good with this sweet and soft mint flavor, mint chocolate chips ice-creams also used to taste really good, but when several brands got replaced or absorbed by big companies, that flavor in particular got to taste like thoothpaste, it is like this hard candies from certain brands that slowly dissolved in the mouth, they had some decent mind flavored ones before, now lots of those candies are flavored as if they were some weird mentol concentrated to the point it freezes and numbs your mouth and clears the fricking nosetrills so much that it hurts when breathing.
