The only sad part about this arc is that he lost his memory for real. It would have been much better to not have his inner thoughts and just see him act like a paranoid boy. So by the time he does regain his memories we can't tell and whatever plan he will be working on will just blend in masterfully to us as audience.

This is a really plot-convenient selective memory loss, with him not losing any of his built up smarts. And for some reason they thought it's okay for him to continue working even though he can't remember anything. Just having the same level of comprehension wouldn't be enough for someone to continue their work plans.

...it's okay that he's wary of MC, but please don't get infatuated to OG heroine.

Well at least it's not following how regular amnesia arcs go, it's actually a cut above the rest. Still, an amnesia arc is an amnesia arc.

Well, it's going a bit better than I thought it would be going. If everything had dropped back to square one I definitely would have been a bit frustrated.

Book knowledge and memory of past events are stored in different parts of the brain. In fact it has been proven that someone without long term memory can still learn facts and skills and draw upon them. However their personal history was entirely lost to him and he could not remember things that happened more then 15 minutes or so ago.

Indeed, episodic memory is separate from procedural memory. I said that it's a convenient selective memory lost because even though Aiden lost his episodic memory to before he met Erin (which means that he lost all the memories with Erin that made his mentality mature and strong enough to fight off his trauma that was caused by Mrs. Whitney) Aiden didn't revert back to being a kid with PTSD. He's still mature, which is completely different from how he was when he actually met Erin for the first time. He should have also lost all memories of his ongoing and planned projects, and of how he should handle his business friends and enemies. People would normally unable to continue their business and (especially) political works.
