An adorable series, stories about single parents, especially dads, are always so emotional to me. The art in this story was absolutely beautiful as well, really unique.

Unfortunately I find this ending to be quite rushed, maybe the author was unsure how to proceed or done with the story, or they were asked to bring an end to it by the publisher, but I wouldn't have minded 200 more chapters of sweetness, I feel like there is a disturbing lack of characters growing older in manga/anime. I would've loved to see her grow up for a while longer, and to see the difficult but probably adorable progression of the relationship between Masamune, Koharu, and Katagiri.

It is perfectly nice to know that they ended up together, though I hate that it seems like us readers weren't a part of their life anymore, only showing them to us from a distance or in a picture.

Alright, that's enough venting, I definitely shed a tear or two, hope that whoever reads this feels a bit cathartic too.

Although the Ending felt a bit rushed and unfinished.

This Manga was a emotional rollercoaster.

The thing that amazed me most is that even though Youko was never present physically during the Main Plot. She played a major role in the story.

This story taught me that everything you hold dear will one day leave you. So don't try to cling to the past. Enjoy and Cherish the Present.

An Absolute Masterpiece. Thanks Sahara Mizu for this Amazing Story.

This deserves my manly tears.

I would take this ending rather than getting the story ruined by some unnecessary drama had it continued

Thanks for the translation. Really good stuff, was a good way to end it, leaves a lot to our imagination.

I quite liked this series, the ending leaves a bit to be desired, but it's not terrible either. It feels like it's just another slice from a moment of their life, but a significant one, it just wasn't given quite the amount of gravitas it needed to "feel" like an ending.

I really only have one complaint for the series:
I really liked the father/daughter dynamic of the series, but it's constant touching upon the dead mother annoyed me honestly - and don't get me wrong, I get he and the daughter loved her and blah blah blah, but I just find the act of her arbitrarily deciding the MC's future and forcing what she thought was right on him to be pretty damn disgusting. He deserved to know he had a child, and her 'selflessly' keeping herself away from him while doing such dramatic things as writing unsent letters and crying while saying his name... it all just seemed like self gratifying theatrics... Not even mentioning the hardship of the daughter not having a father (if not for the fact she went and died).
Nothing crystalized my low opinion of her more than when MC proposed to her, and she turned him down so that he could be "free"... HE ALREADY FREELY CHOSE TO COMPLETELY COMMIT TO YOU YA DUMB BROAD!
The Daughter's and MC's suffering were all completely caused by her; her "selflessness" comes across as so extraordinarily selfish.

I wish that the couple had amiably split - that would have worked better (in my opinion), it'd explain why she didn't let him know he had a child (they don't get along so doesn't want him in her life, or perhaps they just lost contact, etc), and let me focus more on her as a character rather than the ridiculously stupid and contrived reasons she apparently came up with to not respond to him.

Anyway, Thanks for the translation (5 years after the fact)
Despite my complaints, it was a good read, I enjoyed it.

The ending was kinda sudden (I paused for a week without knowing I was on the final chapter) but I’m glad I read this.

A not fucked version of *sagi Drop, I feel like this was a good stop-gap to end it, since we’ve been through the harshest part of childhood.

Thanks for the TL! It was very good throughout
