For me, this just saved the story.
Just when I thought it was getting boring and generic, it went full comedy (with toilet humor).

Rather this than the alternative.
This may still be still shit, but I can read a story about pwning people with dirty toilet plungers too.
Shitz and giggles are better than boredom.

...but the cliffhanger sucks. I wanted to see him actually get pwned by a toilet plunger. Hopefully next time...
