She's lying. She's been into him for quite some time. Just too timid or cowardly to do it before her bf asked him out.

Does the author like writing a revolving plot of not trusting one another? Why would she lie like that? What does she even get out of it? If she's been into this guy for as long as she's been, why would she put distrust in him like that? Nothing of that interaction makes any sense whatsoever.

That's a great manipulation tactic because she knows that all mc values is her poompoom, so she creates an "artificial" crisis, thus succeeding lighting a fire for our mentally ill (simp) mc's feet.

Probably because of some trauma? We don't really know, she seems to be all alone, she had the flashbacks of a man giving her a piggyback when she was young when she had the fever with the mc, seems mostly to have no one to really give her real love and affection, we have no idea why she did transfer, what she did talk with Kaori and why she didn't have anything to say about this relationship whatsoever, I mean, the MC really has nothing to lose, as the guy is at the bottom other than those two people, as his family is already dead, and he even tried to commit suicide at this point, which Kaori stopped.

Those two are hiding something from the Hidaka, that's for sure, not only Yoshioka but also Kaori, don't know what, as those relations are very vague, and we only have real fast flashbacks with no actual dialog.

For now, we have a lot of questions and no answer, and being serious here, don't know if we will have. And the lies she tells probably come from a sense of having power, or maybe her mom or dad cheated and those things could have triggered this fetish into her, and now, she fell in love with Hidaka, but those traumas make she thinks that the only way to feel pleasure is that, lying to feel the rush of 'cheating'. At this point, the only real cheating was against Kaori, which was discovered pretty fast by herself and which she was just "okay" with the idea, so... is that even cheating at this point? And all three seemed to be virgins so, I don't know how easy it will be to just go to another partner as it seems that they are pretty much glued to one another for some reason.

The MC will say no to the relationship with Yoshioka and refuse to have sex with her again, even with she asking for him, while he holds a condom, he refuses her, and goes back to Kaori. Yoshioka then seems to accept the offer that was for Kaori to be a model (hence that who was that strange guy at her front door) and appear in lots of magazines and then comes back to the school, being even more fap material to everyone. He seems to open up with Kaori about everything, as he states that he don't want to lie to her anymore and tell her to listen, but nothing is revealed to us. Yoshioka and Hidaka set a meeting, and he seems to want to end that kind of relationship for good this time. Chapter 54 is released, but there's no raw scans at the moment, so we have to wait.

It's actually not really said anywhere, but the clothes and the timing kinda match, so that's more of a assumption of mine, sorry. Like I said, the author really like to keep us in the dark, he shows a lot but don't say much, and seems like that's the deal with this work, he wants us to feel angst about it, but if we really see how the characters react to one another, all 3 seem to really care and like one anoter even if their relationship is strange to put in that way. About the stranger, he never met Kaori, but it's show in chapter 52 at the beggining that those two that tried to scout Kaori were the ones behind Yoshioka being a model, and for what I could guess, that guy could probably be from the agency, as he was way to polite seeing Hidaka, and didn't act strange while seeing him, so... I doubt she had any kinda of relation with him, like I said before, Yoshioka really gets seems to get aroused at the feeling of 'cheating', but not to actually do it herself, she does seem to really have feelings for Hidaka, but something must have happened in her past to be the way she is now, she wants to have that kinda of control on Hidaka, letting him became jeasly so he attack her and gives what she wants, but when things don't really go well when she does it, she tells the truth, in the next chapter she will say to him that after he left she just masturbates non-stop thinking about him, and says that she can't stop the feeling of wanting him to have sex with her, plus in the previous chapters she also said that she NEEDS TO BE HIM, otherwise she can't have sex with or feel aroused, but she also stated that this was because of him being Kaori boyfriend... But then again, if you really look at the way she acts, she just seems to like him. The author could put a twist and just make her a slut, but at this moment, she just seems to really like to make Hidaka possessive, so she can have him to herself, while maintaining the feeling of 'cheating' as he's Kaori boyfriend, so unless the author really decides to go on a complete different path of the character he stabelished till now, she wouldn't sleep with other guys, 'cuz she only wants to Hidaka to feel possessive about her.

So, the raws for chapter 54 got released, and here what happens:
Hidaka and Yoshioka are alone under a bridge and the rain is pouring hard. Hidaka's starts the conversation as it was mentioned before, he was determined to end their relationship no matter what, because he didn't to keep lying to Kaori nor have that kind of relation with Yoshioka anymore, despite if Kaori was to forgive him or not for cheating. Then Yoshioka explains about the man on her door the last time, and confirming it was her manager (what I suspected from the previous spoiler on chapter 49) for the job on the maganize, which he replies bowing his head (It's a form to demonstrate that he's happy for her job) that her photoshoot became very popular (which is true, she has many magazines already everywhere it's shown on the other chapters, when Hidaka discovers her new job), and she follows asking him to look at her, while she undresses herself and shows that she's wearing the underwear of the photo she had sent him previously, and says that she did it for him, and he can do whatever he wants with her.

He only calls her name with a very saddened look in his face...

She then jumps on him, taking both to the ground under the bridge, while she holds his arms and states that it does not matter if he did break-up with Kaori or not, and ask if it's just an excuse, no? And he can tell Kaori later on what happened again, then she gently raises his head to look at her and follows saying that he can say to Kaori that their relationship ended (Hidaka's and Yoshioka's) and so they can keep doing it in secret (like... everything that happened is exactly because of this, right? Makes no sense to do it again), and then her tears start to drop on Hidaka's face, she asks how can she end this relationship with him, why she can't end it...? And if he really wants her to get rid of her feelings for him, she says of these with a very sad smile on her face while crying and looking at him, and with their fingers interlocked. He just stares at her with a complex sad face, and then he gets up, gives her an umbrella and ask that she pleases use the umbrella... On goes out in the middle of the storm, she takes it while still crying sitting on the grass, thanks him with the pained smile on her face and looks at the umbrella while saying "Ah... I was rejected" she embraces the umbrella and start to cry really hard... And that was it, so...

This scene is a testament to the complicated nature of their relationship. Despite their strong physical attraction to each other, Hidaka knows that he cannot continue to deceive Kaori and hurt her even further. Meanwhile, Yoshioka's love for Hidaka is genuine, but her willingness to keep their relationship a secret shows that she is not yet ready to confront her own insecurities.

The author seems to want us, the readers, to feel a sense of angst and uncertainty about the future of these characters' relationships. The cliffhanger ending suggests that there is more to come and leaves us once again wondering what will happen next. Additionally, the fact that the manga is going on hiatus/break further adds to the suspense and anticipation. It will be interesting to see how the story continues to unfold and whether these characters are able to find resolution and closure. At this point, I really don't know for who to cheer for, but one thing is certain, Hidaka seem like a really not pushover character whatsoever, as he knows very well that both girls can find other people, but he doesn't want to further go into those kinds of relationships, I hope the author don't change that, and that either Yoshioka really tries to win Hidaka's over, or let him go once for all, and if Kaori stays by his side we see more of them together, as we see that she is a nice character on the arc that Yoshioka transfered to the school.
