Honestly I don't find his strenght it weird or forced. He is smart, has experience in actual battles and killing fights, and has techniques (the other villagers straight up can't fight). I mean, just look at how he's taken down all these people. I think he's done it "naturally", not forced by the author. The only thing I actually find strange is his spotless clothes. They should've been a bit burnt at least after the explosion.
