Ok I'm honestly now all in for Kyoichi to be the Jesse Pinkman. Helping Tetsuo learn how the crime world works and eventually helping him transform into someone who is no longer just doing things for the sake of his family.
Or he could just die cause I have no idea where this story is going.

Wow, until that last line it hadn't occurred to me how similar this actually is to Dostoyevsky's Crime and Punishment (in broad strokes, anyway). Man breaks into an apartment, is surprised by the return of one of its occupants, commits a murder in the heat of the moment, spends the rest of the story involved in a dangerous game of cat-and-mouse with the ones investigating the murder.
