Either Kyoichi is a complete idiot or the writing is getting a little wonky

Like this dude you suspect has comitted a crime is not only unafraid of you discovering his secret/falsely judging him but he all of a sudden is boldly talking about you being in danger and how much yall need to hurry and do this and that??

I guess Kyoichi gets to live for now. I wonder if he'll try to plant the evidence on this other guy or still try to pin the crime on Kyoichi after this.

@VoraciousEater It would be less suspicious if he still insisted he was innocent, but I think him visibly panicking while Kyoichi looked for clues would be a dead giveaway. From Kyoichi's perspective, Tetsuo had been around him for some time to the point that he's become strangely relaxed around him. It might not be too suspicious to him anymore.

As for Tetsuo all of a sudden making suggestions, it is indeed a very very risky play on his part that could put all suspicion back on him. This is why he needs Kyoichi to panic and not think hard on the matter, but this is not at all an easy task.

@Purrence Oh wow you're right. I wonder if it was just such a niche item or if this manga is just that popular for it to come up in results.

I could swear I found nothing on ALS flashlight when I looked it up 2 years ago, and now I'm getting a whole bunch of results. Guess the author REALLY did his research...

From Kyoichi's standpoint, he knows he is already in deep shit. His fallback option was to find evidence to implicate Tetsuo. But a higher-up willing to pin Nobuto's disappearance on him is entirely plausible—both because he's already messed up and isn't on great terms with others and because it would make for a more convincing story for Nobuto's dad—which would mean making Tetsuo the scapegoat wouldn't help if the syndicate really wanted to get rid of both problems. And again, from Kyoichi's standpoint, Tetsuo doesn't know about the time limit they've been given, so if he's actually innocent, he shouldn't have any reasons to panic yet. Kyoichi is the only one in the position to panic based on the information he has.

Bit unsure about the blacklight thing, blood under UV does not glow they use a chemical like luminol of that afaik. ALS(Alternative Light Source) and blacklight are the same thing, technically at least, ALS has narrow wavelength spectrum making things easier to spot. usually other bodily fluids like semen, saliva, they are naturally luminecent.

So not complete bullshit but not exactly true either from what i gathered, but hey it's fiction
