@blurgh123 old japanese buildings don't have locks, I think it was because of the lack of metal during the period- if anything they could renovate it
ff: some buildings, aside from modern complexes, tried to use the least amount of metal- so to fit things together, they literally fit it together like a puzzle. they cut the wooden parts in a particular way
