Not so much who she eventually ends up with! I actually don't mind her getting together with Jiho so that's perfectly fine with me. Although, I do have my own secret ship for Dani-i even if I know it won't happen. XD But that is rather surprising since it almost looks like the story is setting itself up so she and Chunyoung would eventually end up together. Honestly, what really bothered me was the possible ending spoiler of all her friends forgetting about her and moving on as if she never existed. That would be the one thing I would never want to happen in any story! It's still slightly sad that she'll have to start over from square one as new friends to them but at least she'll able too. The spoiler I read said that Dani-i was never able to see them again because they forgot her, all besides Chunyoung who got his memories back and went with her. So thank you! You helped me wanna stick around to see how this all eventually plays out!

@codydub03 i guess it is because she thinks this is a school life novel - which means that when the school ends and they all become adults, those crazy things would stop, because the author would have finished the novel, and then they could live peacefully without she worrying about the narrative the author wants and who are the protagonists
i do recall dani saying this in a chapter but i don't remember in which one it was

you know, after reading about how jinho likes her i read the whole series again and i noticed that there are actually a lot of moments between those two, and that he truly cares about her, he may confuses us with how he is always being sarcastic or joking, but he was always the first one to check on her and try to really understand what she thinks, since she has the habit of hiding how she feels.
i think people don't usually notice it because the way dani thinks kind of influences the readers, like on how he is supposed to be the male lead who fell in love with the perfect girl (her friend)

I'd be pretty disappointed too if they all forgot about her and moved on with their lives. Writing-wise, that'd be a huge letdown so I at least hope she really does get to stay friends with them, even if she has to start from scratch (Jiho being the exception I suppose).

without already knowing who the male lead is. I've seen too many comments that reflect what @Shroov05 said about the reactions to learning it's Jiho that Dan-I ends up with - basically looking down on him without knowing anything except that he's endgame. I've seen comments like, "why him" and "Chunyoung is better" or, my favourite, "he doesn't love her as much as Chunyoung" -- which is pretty laughable because reading the novel shows that's not true at all.

It just kinda sucks to see people not give Jiho a chance and then judge him like that. I've seen a lot of people who started the web comic hoping she gets with Chunyoung only to read the novel and end up adoring Jiho. He is a quality boy and I hope people give him some credit when the web comic adapts more chapters.

And yeah, the webtoon does make it seem like it's setting her up with Chunyoung at first, but re-reading the chapters with the ending and future developments in mind, I can see why Jiho is the male lead. He's always involved in some way, like how he gives advice to Dan-I at the beginning with Chunyoung, or how he creates a chance for Dan-I and Yeoryeong to reconcile again. All the little things he does to help Dan-I, his reactions, the way the story subtly builds him up over time... None of it came out of nowhere and in hindsight, it seems fitting that he's the male lead.

I did the same. It feels kind of rewarding when you realize Jiho's crush on Dan-I has been there the whole time. It was just more subtle at the start. He's always helping Dan-I or giving her advice even when he's not in the spotlight and they always insult each other but you can see how much Jiho cares about her from the very beginning with how easily he's able to read her just by looking at her facial expressions or how he caves at her request to act as strangers at school when he sees how distressed she looks... There's more but I don't wanna write an essay.

Lol yeah Dan-I trapped us into thinking Jiho is the ML for Yeoryeong. So many people were shipping Chunyoung/Dan-I and Jiho/Yeoryeong but it turns out Jiho is head over heels for Dan-I. Now everything he did feels so obvious. I think we were all just blinded by Chunyoung at the start. 😅

None of that stuff about hate/love pairing comments bothers me! I know it wasn't directed towards me so no worries! I mean, everyone will always have their own preferences on ship pairings, myself included, since I secretly ship Dani-i with Yeoryeong. XD Anyways, when I first started reading it, it honestly seemed like any of the boys were open game for getting together with Dani-i and as the chapters went by it looked like each of the boys had their own good reasons to like her and want a chance to date her. I will admit it did look like the comic was favoring Chunyoung a little but I've definitely noticed the looks here and there from the other 3 boys that obviously show they do like her. I've also noticed the little looks Jiho has given her periodically so I wouldn't mind him becoming the final end game ML for her if he truly does love her. Honestly, I've just been enjoying the overall relationships between the whole gang in general (Ju-in's and Dani-i Mother/Son relationship completely crack me up!) and how their friendship has helped Dani-i grow as a person the more attached she becomes to the novel world and the people in it. That's why I really wanted to know if the spoiler I asked about does happen because then I wouldn't be able to keep reading if it was true. So thanks again for clearing that up.

I only have one problem with this chapter. why the hell does Yeoryeong just leave Dan-I like that? I get she's mad but isn't it more important to take care of your friend who's still in shock than go off to plot revenge? why did she just leave Dan-I alone in her room like that??? I know it's a minor detail but it really bothers me

Tbh, Idk who I should ship Dan-i with 😭. I want her to end up with Chunyoung ( sleep is life but Dan-i is lifer lol ) but some of the readers say that she’s going to end up with Jiho. And I lowkey want Dan-i to end up with someone outside the circle. I really don’t know anymore but it’s alright whoever she’s going to end up with.

Omg Jiho sure knows how to read people lol telling Chunyoung that Dan-I was injured got him up right away. I guess it’ll be a battle between Jiho and Chunyoung bc as much as I love Eunhyung and Ju-In I think they’re the types to back down (if they even see her romantically). Used to ship her with Chunyoung but now I’m definitely Team Jiho bc he’s a fucken ANGEL
