@empressnyannyanau I understand the frustration coming from it, but I think it's completely justified. Even if they weren't "characters" I would still believe that. From the beginning she's considered herself the "ugly friend" who's only included because she's best friends with the hottest girl in school. Regardless of what they say or do, that feeling wouldn't just go away. It'd take continuous words and actions, and a lot of time to get past that. Even though there was never indication that that's what they thought, especially Chunyoung, those nagging thoughts were there and it takes a lot to get rid of them. Because how can she truly know that they're genuine and not just playing along? And given the ridiculousness of her predicament that's just confounded. Yes it's illogical from the outside, but gut tends to outweigh logic more times than not in this type of situation.

@KayleneP wonderfully explained! I actually see Dan-I as a relatable character (for an isekai genre) and it's actually normal to think the things she did, especially if she experienced being brought back to her world suddenly after settling down in the new world.

Wait, i'm confused. Isn't it Ham Dan I who disappeared from their world? I mean, she disappeared from the "novel's world" and returned to her world, because not only the 4 heavenly kings and Yeoryeon, but also anything related to them disappeared (Yeoryeon's family, the 4's families, the school, the classmates, schoolmates, etc.)
Imo Dan I just returned to her world, so she would be the one who disappeared, not the others.

In Dan-I's perspective, they're the ones who disappeared (and she's the MC). Plus they forget about her, so she doesn't "disappear." She can't disappear if she never existed, after all.

You phrased it so nicely and explained everything extensively and I completely agree. Not to mention I completely understand Dan-I and her approach, because I have been in a similar situation (just 'cause I'm a coward) but it is hard and people expect Dan-I to be perfect and fine when she has been living with this anxiety for 3 or 4 years now, to me she is incredibly strong.

And from what I've read in spoilers it's a long ride (about 500 chapters?) and takes a dark turn/ambiance where I think she still battles her insecurites

@mcruz I see where you are coming from but as stated in the first few chapters a lot of things were different (school uniform, neighbourhood) I was also a bit confused be caused her parents are the same in both universes, I think.

Just a thought, Dani was just the only one who assumed this was all a novel right? Its not like she read about this or a confirmed novel to begin with. She just assumed it was since everything is bizarre when she first realized it. Or maybe i was wrong and it is explicitly say that this is a novel world in one of the past chapters heheehehe. Just thinking what if this is not a novel world (where everything scenario must be novel-like) and just plain parallel universe and she is just being hard on herself.

I don't know if the manhwa will even adapt all 595 chapters though. The main story + epilogue is actually only 525 chapters.

I think they will do it, I read few manwha who are finish (yes that exist 😆) and they do it, they draw all the novel, epilogue and extra inclu.
But you know, it's not because there are x chapter in the novel that matches the manhwa, actually the pace is higher for the manhwa. From my memory the manhwa is already more than chapter one hundred of the novel.

there's an alternate ending that branches off from the end of chapter 512 of the novel. The alternate ending is 20 chapters long. I don't know if they'll bother adapting the alternate ending.

Actually this world is made-up and you guys are fictional characters who were my friends for 3 years and I'm getting attached to but someday you all might disappear from my life forever!" right?
