Although, it takes 21 days to develop a habit. MC was a dog for two months until he found Inari.
So IMO it is just enough if you suspend your disbelief.

Don't even need to suspend disbelief for this manga. From the very beginning, guy gets mysteriously turned into a dog yet retains his ability to think. If you were expecting some complex explanation for that, I don't know what to tell you.

Like how a cartoon character can get a piano dropped on their head and not die, doesn't need an explanation, it's just a joke.
