Mike truly was best girl, she still managed to accept the rejection gracefully. Probably better than I ever could have. If only I had friends like that. Despite being the main girl, it feels she resolved her arc two volumes ago, so she was just kinda there because "main girl must win". The POV shots in the panels throughout it all were hella cool and a creative way to show the difference between human perspective and dog perspective of the world around them.

Admittedly it was probably done for less than savoury reasons (since the angle that a dog sees the world is a goldmine for pantyshots) but whatev. The way the ending handled the rivals managed to be both cliche and refreshing at the same time, very weird.

Also fun fact (or maybe not so fun fact): Inukai is legally in the clear over there if a mid-coitus transformation makes "doggystyle" take a more literal meaning

Science lady can pretty much adjust it anyway they want, so it's on them being dumb dumbs for not adjusting how to transform. Or Idk, maybe they are into that surprise factor lol.

But the main difference is that you also need to have an increased heart rate as well as as consuming female fluids. MC was being treated as a dog and MC was skittish so I guess he never really got his heart racing back then. He never really tried kissing Karen until the very end so there was no chance to transform.
