Ratings, unlike tags, are 100% subjective, and everyone is entitled to their own opinion, no matter how petty. ^^
...which is why I'm putting the shoujo-ai tag on. (Did that before I read your comment, mind. So this is more accurately my post-facto explanation, for why your complaint is not compelling me to re-think what I'd considered to be a rather mundane tag correction.)
(And yeah, contributor status is literally meaningless except on a technical level. I'd much prefer going back to the old open-editing that Batoto had, where everyone could debate such things on equal footing unless things got out of hand and mods had to step in—but that's not my call. As it is, I just try to edit as sensitively and conservatively as possible now.)
