Yeah, Narae would be a lot better without the physical abuse. Her insults and toxic words are bad enough, but they're balanced by her helpfulness and awareness. The physical hitting pushes things too far.

In this chapter:
  • Aya solidifying her position as "best female character" by a large margin.
  • Rangii is still an idiot. Even while sleeping you can tell she's a total moron.
  • Narae being her usual violent self. The author could have made her a normal tsundere instead of a violent one....
  • Sahee and purple panties. I would bet money she did that on purpose! At this point I'm convinced she's low-key trying to seduce the MC.

Thanks a lot for the translations!

P.S. my personal preference list at this moment is...
Aya >>>> Sahee (who would have thought earlier on...) > Planet girl > Pyei > Chii >>>> Narae > Rangii (Her incredible amount of dumbness relegates her to last position... She's cute but just TOO dumb)
Yeah, Narae and Rangii are kinda down there....

"Narae is gentle."

Alright, this dude is beyond salvation... this damn girl would make some masochists quit, or downright convert them. All Narae has is her breasts - them beatdowns can't be worth that.
Also, fuck the childhood friend trope.
Also-also: I've grown out of tsunderes.

I've heard she is worse in the novels but eventually gets "better" though to what degree I've got no clue.

This violent tsundere trope is so very confusing and almost makes it seem like the (usually male) authors have been the subject of an abusive relationship or something......or are masochistic.

Yes it's very weird. I can understand the "normal" tsundere. It's the girl that gets flustered easily and can't spit it out, but secretly tries her best... I can see the appeal, though it's not my thing.

But the violence? WHY? It's just so... weird.

It often seems to be done for "comedic" effect but it really just seems like regular domestic violence like the authors don't have a "normal" world view on it and think it's normal.

It does make me wonder about them and how they can view it as "normal" or a positive character trait etc.
