@5steps He's conscious about minor things like indirect kisses because, if you read the first chapter, they mentioned that their marriage was one of convenience. I'm not too familiar with Japanese customs, but I think that mean they don't know much about each other, or that they didn't marry out of love.
So yeah, they're basically going out.
