There has barely ever been much progress in this manhua in general, it's meant to be a slice of life slowburn imo, most chapters are the kid fangirling

Yeah, I wouldn't mind a manga that was completly about delusions of 2 kids and the older women being just friends... but there is too much baiting and setup, with unsure ending. If it was finished and we knew they were going to end up together or something I might be fine with it, but it's not. And so many comics with similar premises end up either with them just being friends or final chapter confessions...
Slowburn setup works, if it gets payoff. If you spend too much time teasing, In my experience it increases chance of the comic ending with subtext (for me at least)
