I don't work in the entertainment industry but I had friends who do. Let's just say that this is a really close depiction of what working as an assistant in sets are like. I'm glad Xiao Pei finally found someone who she can care about and cares about her well-being 😭

The only upside is that idol seems like a flash in the pan. She's probably rotting doing some third rate jobs in the present tine of the story. Or completely off scene.
