I hope this is just her finding a friend that help her develop outside of romance instead of a yuri route, cuz that would be very cringe

Funnily enough, this quote is actually a misattribution! The original study datapoint was about lesbians experiencing domestic abuse - this included lesbians in straight marriages, which would likely (as one might expect) experience more domestic abuse on average.
by that same logic, wouldn't it mean that gay(male) in straight marriages is less likely to be experiencing DV?

i wonder why that is.

Statistically, most domestic violence goes unreported, though (of any stripe).
enlighten my ignorance please, but isn't that the old statistics before smarthpone and internet become everyday object?

I like lesbians as much as the next guy but the "ALL my relationships are awful because whoops I'm actually gay" storyline makes me roll my eyes.
I'm hoping this is a red herring for an arc of self reflection leading to a genuine change vs "I'm gay now so everything worked out."
Hey, if there's a bright side to this 'discovery', not only is it one less toxic hoe for the men to worry about, but her toxicity may surely scare the good lesbians into being straight.

As long as there's a distraction, and a set of shackles and chains (figurative or literal) to keep her focused on one relationship, out of the picture, and to hopefully improve (permanently) while at it, I'm fine with this. Especially due to the presence of a tomboy. That's the best part.
As long as a tomboy is being loved, all is well in the world!

Thanks for the translations!
