Usually when a person of color shows up in manga they're either cartoonish (I know, that's ironic considering the media) and sausage-lipped, or they're let's say ... unkind ... and some NTR is afoot. I'm so so glad we have an author here making humans (and yokai) just being people. Instead the tension is mostly about people and their hangups. That's so refreshing.
