I was wondering about that actually. She was still hella cursed when she, seemingly got close to Hanada to get close to Haru and Taya and then Taya helped her out so.....shouldn't she have chomped on his head afterwards while still heavily cursed after they mated???

The whole mantis females eating the head of the males is exaggerated, it does not happen 100% of the time, also there was a joke in the beginning where Haru was reading about female spiders eating males he was told there is nothing to worry about since hes not a spider, but also if he continues to read about it he might get eaten for real.

I have to think that Haru prepped him for this and gave the go ahead via Taya.
They made sure she wouldn't be asking if it wasn't already in the bag.
Yeah I’ll be real, I realised after I wrote that comment that I accidentally skipped the chapter before it, so I’m a little less worried after seeing that part of each of pairs discussions.

Imagine him getting scared and shouting yet he just cumples to the ground while holding her hands because he KNOWS he can't let her go while he's like that, even if he can't fully control himself, and she only notices when she tries to let go and run when he clutches her hands hard as a way to hold on to her.

Would be both funny AND interesting as a development.

So you're telling me it's a life or death matter for the man to make sure she's not stressed? Aren't pregnancies stressful?
i guess? it’s more that most mantis mating that we have records of are between mantises in captivity under laboratory environments, and since mantises are highly visual insects, the bright lights and moving researchers tends to stress them out and cause them to resort to sexual cannibalism. there are reports suggesting that in the wild, mantises actually have pretty elaborate courtship rituals that do not end with the male party consumed. you also have to remember that mantises lay eggs, which tends to be less stressful and resource intensive than giving live birth

That panel implies they slept with eachother, did the deed even, but his head is still on his neck up until now, so it is at least safe to say their sex life should be fine
