I think this was somehow part of his plan to steal the baby. Not sure out of all the people in that room (Gashadokuro dad, the superpowered catgirl midwife, immortal auntie) why he chose HARU as the most important person to disable with an illusion. The only people potentially LESS threatening in that room is the Grandma to be, and MAYBE Taya herself (who isn't likely to be very threatening while actively in labor). Skeleton Daddy isn't even actively busy being a midwife, like the catgirl...

Was he supposed to disable him, or maybe, use him to take the baby? Who knows what he's doing irl whole his mind sees something else. Also, we don't know what's happening outside of his head, could be a lot worse than we think.
