@Hakugin_No_Ou How I love it when shippers try to substitute MC’s romantic interests for their closeness with friends, pretending that most people don’t feel more comfortable with friends of the same gender than with the opposite sex. At the same time, hypocritically used any ecchi, where the heroine is tolerant of harassment from other girls, because "this is not a man".
And if we started talking about it, then being close doesn't mean “seeing as a romantic interest” either. For "unknown" reason, she never went beyond generic gay jokes with Maria, while Bakarina always felt free during any romantic moments with the same Gerald or Nico. Not considered as a romantic interest, yeah.

@SuperOniichan She acts more free with the girls than Gerald and...Nicol who in the novels won't win anytime soon, but Gerald and Keith do get some moments later on...before the author focuses a lot more on Maria and a bit less on Mary over any of the guys to a point where they barely appear compared to them.

It's almost as if everyone except apparently Nicol and Sophia has a chance to win over Katarina and she likes any of them, the author apparently got tired of everyone suddenly assuming there wouldn't be yuri after Gerald and Keith had some big focus and moments that the guys haven't appeared much in the latest volumes, EVERYONE is supposed to have a chance and every ship is valid so far.
