Honestly, this ending kinda pissed me off. At first I was annoyed by Son constantly chickening out and not saying what he was thinking. Even when she confessed her feelings for him, he kissed her but he didn't say anything back and just assumed it was obvious what he was thinking without really making it clear. Then halfway through I Started to get annoyed with Ahn because every time there was friction in their relationship, it was because she quietly drew a boundary and refused to discuss it. Now you're telling me she ended things because she thought he was wasting his "prime years" on her because that's what her ex-husband told her!? She didn't just refuse to discuss it, she just ignored everything he was saying that he wanted and imagined that he actually wanted what her asshole ex wanted?!? I was so invested cuz I thought this would be about how they'd struggle but eventually make it work, but ending it like this with a time skip and both of them married to basically faceless background characters while framing it like it was a beautiful but doomed from the start relationship when it totally wasn't, their communication just sucks and they never learn, feels like a slap in the face.
