If girls inherit their mother's spirit power property and boys that of their father, doesn't that mean that these powers have always been and will always be gender exclusive? Like, only men can be metallics and only women can be fire-people? But then how come Hu Yun Guo's residents are mostly metallics? Does that mean the population of the country is mostly male? Or among the natives of Hu Yun Guo only the men get spiritual abilities?
