You know, there are different types of socialism, not just the kind Marx wanted. Democratic Socialists and Social Democrats rejected a lot of his ideas on how to make society work.

Some of the types of socialism..

Any type of political ideology can be twisted for nefarious purposes. The pure theories are sound it's just once you get filthy humans involved they tend to ruin everything XD.
But yes capitalism in it's most pure form can be considered a form of hell. Where there is a market for everything and everything has a price. Fine for basic stuff like food and drink. But that also means human lives and bodies (both as labor and as entertainment) are also a buyers market. When your freedoms are tied to your bank account it means only the richest are the ones to get the best of everything and can do whatever they want.
