@Rover entirely my personal preference - green and purple are my least favorite colors, and i don't think they work together at all. if i were adding an accent to them on a tie at all, i'd probably be going with something neutral like white/gray/silver

I don’t know if the friend is bold since she kissed him in his sleep or she’s afraid to take a step forward like the loli. The loli is more honest with her feelings but the friend doesn’t do much. I also blame the guy, if he tried he could really get her in his arms. He shouldn’t keep a lady waiting...

Yeah, but those colors represent the two characters: purple for Takeda-senpai, and green for Futaba Igarashi. Ergo, it makes sense to use the two colors together, as has been demonstrated in other contexts previously in this story, like how their phone cases match each other's color theme.

Part of the problem is that the guy (Kazama) isn't embracing the pretty office lady (Sakurai) because he doesn't think he's worthy, regardless of how clearly she's signaling. He has to get over his own self-image first. Also, pretty sure the kiss in his sleep was the same kind of kiss as the one in the stairwell more recently: a cheek kiss. Either that, or a forehead one. Just pointing it out for clarity, it doesn't really change much except the fact she didn't cross a pretty big line.

Isn't that just a normalized translation for the Japanese word 'ganbatte' or its various related terms? Not to mention 'best' is still limited by what one is willing to do in a given moment.

Didn't say anything about it not "making sense" to use the colors together, that much is obvious - I simply find it a subjectively ugly combination.
