Another thing to note is how Kiku is reacting to her dating situation with Sena compared to with Yuuna. With Yuuna, Kiku was fine just casually dating and never seemed bothered enough to push the issue. She seemed just as casual about that relationship as Yuuna. In contrast, with Sena, Kiku is increasingly becoming impatient in a way that runs counter to her normal personality and even shocks her. There is a clear difference between Kiku's (platonic) relationship with Yuuna, compared to her (romantic) relationship with Sena, now. She has undeniable desires that were not shown with Yuuna.

So this series has interesting contrasts between this relationship, just as it has interesting parallels between Sena's (familial) relationship with Yuuna, and Yuuna's (familial) relationship with Kiku, where both Yuuna and Sena seemed to become confused about the types of love they felt towards someone they considered family.

This right here. I can't really place how I feel about Kiku still. Like, she says she loves Sena but the distant feeling makes me second guess her feelings. Sena is still figuring things out and slowly coming around to liking Kiku. However, to me, it feels forced. Maybe it's what Sena needs though. Their whole relationship is awkward and I LOVE it.

She's discovering jealousy and insecurity (with how she wonder if Sena would like her better if she was younger like Yuuna). She feels impatient when she herself admit she spend most of her life going with the flow. She's possessive and greedy even if she's trying her best to not show it but it leaks out every time Sena thanks her for something. And most of all, she feels carnal desires. And because she doesn't know how to deal with that, she is more conscious of the space between them. But again, it shows in how she touched Sena every time she found her asleep. How she would linger on her face before waking her. It looks like she's holding back because if she doesn't, she won't be able to stop.

I mean, sure! It doesn't change the fact that I feel they are clumsy and awkward. I should clarify that I think the "forced" part is Sena forcing herself to accept Kiku's love. Force may be a strong word. I am just hung up on some things that happened earlier so don't mind me.
