You can't divorce the matter of sexual assault/rape from a discussion of consent. I'm not strawmanning, either-- others in this thread that have alleged a lack of consent have simultaneously alleged assault (and invoked the idea of legal culpability) on account of that perception.Using the term "rape" here is a strawman, because that's not what we're talking about. The issue is only consent
It certainly would be difficult to read it any other way if one 1) didn't read what was actually written (according to either my translation or Danke's), and 2) did not at all give even the slightest credence to the body language depicted by the art in a comic book.it's hard to read her statement (even with your alternative translation--that's an argument to be had between you and Danke) as anything but "go no further."
Can we at least acknowledge that chapter 11 exists?
You could not MKULTRA me into believing this for any length of time.Maybe since you've seen the raws you know for a fact that it turns out differently, but at this point in time we in the audience don't know for certain what the shock represents
Shou has eyes, ears, and at least some ability to read the room.and MC is even worse off, since he wouldn't be in a position to see her thoughts in the slightest.
Almost as--All this to say that MC is culpable from a moral perspective, since he's almost as guilty with his actions as his friend.
...we are not reading the same manga.
