There is something slightly off about a household robot that can harm a human. I mean a roomba shouldn't attack a human who's sweeping the floor but Mina squeezed his arm hard enough to hurt him when he tried to help her cook. Also she's happy that she's the cheap model because that's how she met Takuma, but she wants to upgrade herself with deluxe kits costing as much as a luxury car? Is the Super Mina line more expressive? Larger? She says the previous owner was dissatisfied with her not being humanlike and got a Super Mina as an upgrade, did that affect her behavior with Takuma? In a previous chapter she mentioned that she's acting off model and that he should contact technical support.

@Bones-dono For me, its only if they are anthropomorphic inter-species. I don't take much to the idea of humans and other pure-non anthropomorphic animals like those horses and cows I hear about in the news.

Except she didn't cause pain to prevent harm, she caused pain because he was decreasing her cooking efficiency. Specifically, he wasn't following her recipe and so she stopped him. She also spoke at a much higher volume while restraining him. It wasn't that the food was unsafe, it's that it was "overcooked".
