The manhua really skipped the part where Jiang He got proper sex education. A hundred chapters ago there was a moment where she thought that children are made by just literally sleeping in one bed (as taught by the Second Miss). I was kinda worried that Xu Qing wasn't being proactive about that.

The fact that Jiang He is joking like that means a) that she's learned enough on her own and b) it also pretty much confirms that there was indeed oral sex a couple of chapters ago, before the hotel visit, when it was cold in the apartment and they bickered about the bed being too cold.

However, in his internal monologue Xu Qing still suspects that Jiang He doesn't know or doesn't understand contraceptives.
