Rofl. I'm not sure if that was the intention but with how it was drawn it looked like even the chief was expecting the MC to come back after the undead were captured and everyone was looking there expecting him to reappear.

He totally was. im pretty sure he thought the MC infiltrated their mission, or setup the whole thing without the undead even knowing, and so had no reason to actually stay gone. he couldn't be more wrong though lol
