now, i loooove what has been done with kano here. i wasn't expecting to already have acknowledgement of whoever kyo the IF's "master" was and what role he played in all of this, but naturally it makes everything so much more messy and complicated and incredible to see unfold. it's like a trainwreck. kano very obviously having had genuine attachment to the "master" kyo is IF to, his relationship to kyo always having been framed as like father and son or more literally creator and creation, kano blurring the lines between these individuals who share a body whether he's aware of it or not. considering this is yatsuda teki we're talking about, i have serious suspicions that they're going to have it so that kano was in love with that man, yaoi-style you could say, and whatever happened happened and now he's stuck living with the consequences in the wake of that loss which manifest physically as just kyo the IF. not even a person. if nothing else i hope that's what's going to be done

i always appreciate yatsuda making the effort to add in something cute and funny in nearly every chapter so it never gets too into the depths. and it's so good how every time yatsuda is in need of some comic relief they default to having kyo and sataki fuck around with each other. the siblings of all timeeee

some serious business finally going down with kyo and sataki's relationship though! that unnerving immediate shutdown of any implication of kyo having his own agency and personhood was so perfectly horrifying, i can only imagine how sataki felt seeing that considering not only did she clearly see it coming for several chapters now but it's outright her duty to oversee and guarantee that this process happens smoothly. she's not just complacent in erasing kyo's personhood, she has to make sure it succeeds. and if she wanted to say no it likely wouldn't even be just her life at risk, it'd be who knows how many others' including kyo himself.

she is literally the perfect character to ask the question, "what was the point of「you」searching so desperately for a「meaning」?!"

the answer is vanitas. there is no point. there is no meaning. all of this is for nothing. they're all doomed to the end.

just like how kana and chihiro are. i hope these two and their breaking down is how kyo finally meets vani, yichen, and shie. it's nigh time for kyo to meet vani, and for vani to see kyo again...

the fact that i've made you reevaluate the way you read this manga makes me so so happy. because, well, as something of a writer myself 😤, every creator when they have a work they really put everything into, and i mean not just blood and sweat and tears i mean also their entire philosophies and experiences and the way they view the world, that kind of deeply personal work? it's going to have meaning to be found in every little detail and possible decision. not just literally small things like small panels or things drawn in tiny scale in larger panels, i mean down to the angles we see the characters and scenes and the individual lines making up each facial expression. at the very least that's how i would approach a piece of work that i love and care, and it would mean kind of everything to me if even just one person, one reader was able to notice those intentions even if they're tiny. so out of courtesy and love for other artists in general i try to at least give that minimum amount dissection to anything i consume. it's a learned skill and it's definitely difficult but something like myther which has so much to offer and so much care and thought put into every aspect gives me the motivation to put in that extra effort
