So in short, they try to think it is N-ot exist if you just ignore and forget it, but due to someone keep chasing it, that the N-ightmare keep on going and taking firmer shape.
Sadly, even if the moon is not there when N-obody looks at it, the moon is there.

Seems like all of the supernatural info-tampering only happens when Hiruma is present.

In chapter 15.2 Hiruma interviews the boy from the first chapter. After the interview the cameraman that's with him says that his camera's acting up.

In chapter 17 Hiruma records his conversation with Fukushima, but upon listening to it it's been transformed into a recording from the classroom in chapter 2. But Shindou surreptitiously recorded the same conversation, and his copy hasn't been tampered with.

And just last chapter Hiruma hands his business card over to Shindou, but it gets immediately blacked out. But when Shindou goes back to Hiruma's wife's apartment she gives him Hiruma's contact info no problem (also kinda wack that she just handed that out to a sketchy dude who showed up right after her daughter got a threatening cake and she warned Hiruma that he shouldn't get in too deep with all this sus shit, but oh well).

And in chapter 19 we see a flashback of Hiruma as a young man seeing his shadow come to life, which is what set him on the path of being an occult reporter in the first place. This is also one of the only supernatural events in the series we've seen so far which is definitely not just an embellishment by Fukushima, alongside Shindou's prophetic dreams which this chapter confirmed were legit (pre-emptive RIP to Sanae, by the way).

Anyway, this started out as a shitpost about how half-assed the ghosts in this series are if they're willing to tamper with a business card but then let Shindou just get the info another way five minutes later, but then I went "Wait a sec..."

maybe the shadow is part of his subconsciousness and doing those stuff for him.
