I dunno, I really liked the idea that this was always a hoax, it felt like it too. Making it actually supernatural is weird. My current guess it that it never was N, it was Z, heralding the end (of the world, maybe?). Also there definitely is a change with pre N episodes being all non supernatural and post N episodes being only supernatural.

Also the black censorship in the early episodes, one of them being most likely Christianity, is this a very weird retelling of the apocalypse?
