A minor correction. The carved names in the bottom panels from the penultimate page are, from left: Kanta - Satoshi - Kensuke - Kouta - Takuma. Meaning, only Kensuke and Takuma are correct in the translation. This may be of importance because Shin'ya, which the translation put in place of Kanta, may be the name of the protagonist, though I'm not sure of that since the name doesn't appear elsewhere in the chapter.

i mean, it's japan, so, not that there aren't racists but i don't think too many JP readers would associate it with the N-bomb

Although hopefully it focuses more on the human aspects b/c a 'cult' can also be scary/influential/powerful even without a 'supernatural' tag, esp when a cult leader knows he's grifting and hypnotizing ppl as opposed to knowing/answering to a deity and such

if not a "monster" taking human form and accidentally making a cult but it works out for them when they need sacrifices

I don't know why but the beginning of this chapter gave me uzumaki vibes, probably because of the "kinda excluded and boring for the mc village/town" characteristic they gave...
