This "N" cult could be a Aleph (Aum Shinrikyo), doomsday cult. They are well known as Terrorist in Japan.

Their logo is very identical to letter "N" or aleph "א‎ "‎

Edit: The logo is a sanskrit "ॐ" symbol.

oh damn the sarin gas attack cult. I think it's definitely an inspiration; a cult on that level with members who were perfectly well respected members of community...
