I love their relationship. The author adds in these tiny details that slowly build-up over time, like how they're both nervous and fretting over what to wear and what they'll do and where they'll eat. It's just so adorable. Even when introducing the love rival trope, it's easy to see that the characters are more mature than most of their shoujo genre companions lol. There's a high value placed on friendship.
