Am I the problem in seeing things too dark ? ô_ô..

For me it sounded like she ran away, when the store hit tough times, but now comes back trying to claim the store, when it's a moderately working business 😶

Man, they're lucky that she just didn't like the taste of meat and wasn't opposed to the slaughter of animals
that would have taken a lot more effort to convince her of

Manga characters and not communicating properly. Name a better combo.

Well at least this is new. Never seen it being a reason for conflict in manga before

Makes me wonder how realisitc lack of communication is, I know manga can take it to really silly levels, but supposedly japanese are very averse to conflict for the most part, hell apparently they don't even like to outright say no, instead they're indirect about it and expect you to read between the lines.

It's funny cause she running away because her parents wanted her to take the business would make some sense, but because she don't like meat but don't want to say anything about it? That's definitely new for sure, at least for a manga that isn't mostly comedy where nonsense is common.

Maybe it's because I grew up an only child, but did anyone else feel that was resolved too easily? Regardless of the sister's actual motive, she abandoned her family without expressing the reason. She left her little sister feeling hated and incredibly doubtful of herself for however many years. Now that the little sister has made a full resolve, proudly, to take care of the shop, older sister waltzes back in and claims that she's taking over, rendering the little sister's effort and pride practically irrelevant. I believe older sister deserves to be chewed the hell out for an extended period of time, at minimum, for trying to pull that crap and twist a child's emotions like that, regardless of if it was intentional or not.
