Isn’t she just being taken advantage of here? I mean this is a common trope in old media and still used in some dramas, but the ‘crying heroine is comforted by a potential love interest via kiss’ trope nowadays is questionable, to say the least.

It's annoying honestly, and I can see this ending horribly for the kisser if the kissee didn't like the interaction in the slightest. Yeah, I get it, it's to kick off the story, but yesh talk about being that aggressive in her approach.
