that was my favorite takeaway from this.

If Prez is gonna be a rival for Asahi, I'd much rather her character be well-rounded and not just a one-note pushy domineering type who comes across as nothing but a conniving bully to either of the two main leads.

Make her awkward and unused to friendship/banter and in need of "learning how to be a kid" a bit. Makes her instantly more likeable even as an opposing force to the FMC, and like someone I could root for rather than just feeling fatigue every time she shows up on screen like with her introduction.

Very glad the author went this direction, and I honestly hope Prez & Asahi become friends even independent of their apparent affection for the MC, because they also seem like they're primed to help one another overcome their respective "character challenges".

I just want the Prez to not be a love interest. She's still just terrible in that regard with how she has acted. Asahi is clearly the main focus of the series, being in the title and we're often shown her perspective. It almost feels like the prez is just there for conflict for the main girl's relationship to move forward, which kinda sucks when that character is an active love interest that has to "lose." So a more friendly approach to her character would indeed be nice, especially if she drops her sights on the MC as a bf.
