yeah it's probably still gonna focus about the 'brother' showing how he's "the only good thing in her life" (although hopefully the parents are supportive too and have a proper talk with her or so), but it'd be hard to find it believable with a male teacher. then again a female teacher could easily have a scorning look /expression and looking down on her/being judgemental tooWhile I don't think he couldn't do anything, I do think the subversion would be that he looks "creepy" because he's just haggard and tired from being brow beaten by a shitty school system he got stuck with. So less sinister and more jaded. I think at this point she doesn't really need some sort of profound advice or sage wisdom but just needs to see that other people are willing to treat her as an equal and not just a vapid piece of meat to lust after.
Her issues stem almost entirely (from what we've seen thus far) from a crippling lack of self confidence/worth which is why she's such a pushover when it comes to peer pressure. Positive reinforcement would go a long way and it doesn't even have to be piling on praise, just not treating her as lesser or a waste of time. Her brother already demonstrated this simply by reassuring her that despite what she thinks he still views her as part of the family.
But knowing the author the teacher will probably just be a creep and the brother will have to step in and save her again because the premise is "making her understand" and not "broken girl gets her life together".
And i'm sure there are some teachers who are still 'doing their best' despite living/working for a 'bad' school/neighborhood and such, but i can imagine losing hope easily esp if the students themselves don't seem to care, but you do hear success stories like "my dad ran out on me, grew up around gang violence, but i ended up starting my own restaurant " (on the flip side i'm sure there were 'genius' students that had 'gifted kid burnout' stuck in some dead end min wage job if not just a full shut in neet/hikkikomori on the JP side of things [of course there's ppl like that in the west too but depending on the parents it's just 'accepted' in japan more or less, tho reputation aside i wonder how many manga there are out there , that aren't comedy, about parents actually kicking out ppl like that and them dealing with it])
