Name of a Manga - Wooden Dolls/Puppets

Okay, so bit of an old Manga, but basically in this world (not isekai) when a person is about to die they can be put into a wooden doll that can appear to be fully human(I think they have a thread around neck). This is done by puppet master who can control the puppets if needed(like when fighting). I forgot the plot but the manga ends with the MC making his dying friend into a puppet for his sister and the main heroine requesting the MC to build her a better wooden doll body
