That was the 45 chapters of this Nana to Kaoru spin-off thingy. I'll look at getting the actual story ready some time during Jan-Feb, due to thrice the amount of chapters and the larger number of scanlators I have chapters from I expect it to take a while longer to get proper.

Often spinoffs to a series are of little interest or downright pointless. But this is in my opinion the real ending of Nana to Kaoru--the best order to read in is main NtK first, then this to finish off. Both because chronologically it is considered to take place slightly after the main series, and because it is in my opinion the best sustained piece of NtK. Both the romance and the SM are stronger here than in the main series; the characters grow and it's just absolutely sweet. Nana to Kaoru overall is a really wonderful series; the SM is sexy but it's the characters and the beautiful romance that keep you coming back. And it's worth pointing out that the SM and the romance are not in opposition--to the contrary, this is truly an SM romance, where the sexy restraint fuels and is fuelled by the tender feelings.
The main series has the occasional annoying arc or chunk of filler, but Arashi is pure gold.

This is my all-time favorite manga. I'm a bit scared to re-read it though, I got so overly emotional the first time, wondering if I'd ever find a girl as wonderful as Nana.

@421cookies If you read the main story its actually not bad. I'm not into SM at all, but it was a interesting kind of romance manga that was a nice break from the cliches and tropes.

A good read, not a fan of S&M at all but I definitely enjoyed it nonetheless. The story poured onto my heart like the first romantic book I read. It’s nice and it compels you to feel emotions that you may have long forgotten. I highly suggest it for anyone wanting to read something fresh. Just make sure you read the first one before this.

@PotatoPeeler Did you read the same manga? Of course they got together. The day to day reality of school life, and the normal world, is the illusion, and they are themselves, completely in their secret place. Tachibana even tells Nana it's only started. They absolutely revealed their love for each other during the typhoon.

Nana to Kaoru: A Summer Love Story would be a bit more obvious than Black Label, but it sounds sexy which is a key difference between this and the original story.
A more mature outlook on relationships, S&M and the insecurity of being in love.

If you like the original series, this is a must read!

I feel a little sad now that it's over. I suppose that's a good sign, though. Black Label wraps up Nana to Kaoru beautifully. The last arc of the latter left a slightly bad taste in my mouth. Not enough to ruin the entire series, but it felt out of place. Don't hesitate to pick this one up if you enjoyed the first series at all. This is the real ending, and it's fantastic.

As others have said, this takes on a more mature and erotic feel then the original. That said it makes you feel a bit empty and angry when they only take a small step (won't spoil it for you) but it does build the characters and story to a climax that is acceptable. Although I would have loved a deeper ending, I'm satisfied with the one given. I will definitely be purchasing the series to add to my collection, as it really drove how much excitement it gave. Would be something to share with a future girlfriend who likes bondage, easy to convey a feeling you want to do to her 😉

The true end, in all the series this is the only one one that actually has them kiss. Despite all the lewdness, and never a verbal confession. But follows true to form of "showing how you feel"
