Really freaking weird, especially since they're both in high school (even if they look like middle schoolers at best from the drawings). Some of the stuff they discuss and do (like a challenge to hold hands all day) is something that a child may do.

I feel like the author wanted to write a story about 12-year-old girls dealing with weird concepts but later realized this made him look like a pedophile, so he changed their ages on paper.
