so basically later on the FL married their old teacher(seems like marriage of convenience, the downfall for the ML started later he was diagnosed with cancer, FL and ML rekindle not sure as friend or what but it ended up with the ML dying at the end

maybe you should read it again then cause you missed a pretty important word, convenience, they're not in love, them being married is a way for him to help her

and besides, even if it wasn't a marriage of convenience(multiple novel readers have said it is, I doubt they'd all be wrong), the bigger problem would be that he married his hs student, which would make him a groomer

don't take this as gospel but the bato spoiler this thread is referring to also mentions that the teacher might be gay, and that he's not the father of the child(apparently there's an entire spinoff novel about him)

The guy's a serial cheater while knowing full well how cheating affected both of his and Akimi's lives, to top it off, Kai's friends with a groomer/predator who seems to be okay with his cheating.
