Aside from The Magician's Nephew's reserialization in the Asahi Elementary School Newspaper, this series is digital-only, so being in Japan has nothing to do with supporting the series. Buy the digital individual chapters if you care to support the series. Also, even if it had physical volumes, going to Japan still wouldn't matter. You should import them.
